OBJECTIVES AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
All Around Personal Chef & Catering Group is and has become one of the fastest growing and unique sustainable caterers in Vancouver, BC and is currently going through a very ambitious expansion and growth phase that will require an angel investor to acquire 49% equity of the company to fund the expansion needs. will be one of the fastest growing and most Being one of the most diversified premier full-service catering companies in the city of Vancouver, the members of the team are highly experienced, mostly young, and passionately dedicated to their craft and will stop at nothing to ensure our clients are satisfied to the highest level of quality. AAPCCG is modern, trendy and is strategically planning on bringing food sustainability into the urban workplace with Vancouver’s business district the central focus. After 1 year since the inception of this small yet growing catering company it is now ready to take on its next challenge and that is launching the Corporate Chef Express corporate catering brand.
Although events and personal, and private chef services can be very plain or ordinary they are still a part of our overall portfolio and will remain so, but where AAPCCG will make much of the projected revenue and be unique is through the Corporate Chef Express launch. Sales per booking, or client will range anywhere from $100.00 per day to annual catering contracts in upwards of $3M in some cases.
AAPCCG is currently seeking angel investment to assist AAPCCG in carrying forth plans to launch the Corporate Chef Express brand in an effort to increase sales immensely by applying the $100K angel investment into increasing the company’s infrastructure, thus increasing our operational capabilities and thus increase our revenue. Catering sales through the Corporate Chef Express brand (domain name:.... already purchased) are reliable, mostly long-term commitments to large corporations and are constantly in demand every day – by far the most reliable revenue stream that can come from any type of food service catering project. Although CCE will have competition AAPCCG uses only mostly seasonal, fresh and local ingredients harvested within 200 miles of Vancouver. AAPCCG has suppliers that obtain their product usually directly from the farm itself then it is sold to AAPCCG. Our van will be located at our driver’s residence in Maple Ridge extremely close to these suppliers where he will make pick up most of the organic product from these suppliers and they will then be transported to our proposed catering/food production kitchen in downtown Vancouver. Having this advantage is huge – we already obtain amazing deals and corporate discounts for these ingredients and our own van will be able to make the pickup and delivery for these products will save on gas consumption and, delivery fees and other overhead costs. This allows us to be even more flexible on price per product and gives CCE a major advantage over local competitors.
The customer service concept behind the Corporate Chef Express brand is friendly, easy and of course healthy and sustainable eating at work – a time when a busy corporate executive, or office is not exactly putting their health and nutrition on the top of the priority list. The client will be able to place orders by viewing an online menu and paying through a proposed dedicated and secured “pay online” page applied to the website. The next morning the order is assembled by our team and the delivered to their desired location at the confirmed time. Each of the meals offered on the CCE menu focus on a range of ethnicities, demographics and diets, with options to have their meals specifically customized if they wish. The meals are labelled individually and then transported by our van driver and delivered by 1 of our cooks who will be working on the food orders in the morning before deliveries. This way if the client has a specific question or concern regarding the menu item the cook who was a part of producing that product is there to be there to take accountability for the product and to also ensure the highest level of client support by actually being there to answer questions or receive compliments/comments.
We had a proposed commercial space/kitchen located in the eastside of Vancouver; however, another buyer has purchased the assets and lease hold on the property. We do have other options at the present time we are currently sourcing and this business plan will be updated accordingly when another suitable property for lease and operational assets for purchase is sourced. Ideally, we will locate a commercial space/kitchen within Vancouver itself or within 5 km of the downtown core to ensure fast and on-time service to our prospective corporate catering accounts. A $50,000.00 budget from the angel’s $110,000.00 will be used for the acquisition of assets and a 3-year lease deposit to the next commercial kitchen/office space source and will be a starting figure AAPCCG will work with.
The Corporate Chef Express addition to the All Around Personal Chef & Catering Group portfolio will also heavily promote and support local community growth and sustainability by using local suppliers all of our packaging. More importantly our packaging concepts for food and beverage items delivered to clients through CCE (and AAPCCG as a whole) are 100% bio-degradable and environmentally-friendly. AAPCCG is currently still in the process of sourcing out a local supplier of biodegradable packaging and are taking quotes from various suppliers.
Funds from the $110,000.00 acquisition of the 49% equity will also allow my company to step away from a sole proprietorship and incorporate the company into its own corporate entity where we will stem CCE as a subsidiary company and brand.
An investment from an angel investor will allow my company to expand into the corporate catering sales market with the launch of our new subsidiary company Corporate Chef Express which will account for 79% our total projected sales for 2010 and will also allow us to handle special occasion cakes for weddings with the acquisition of a commercial kitchen space as well as a transport van for food items to clients (both have already been selected). At the present time we have to handle all menus and food production on-site at each event or client’s location we are dispatched (private residences, event venues, etc). Although we are still getting by with some success without our own commercial kitchen, an investor coming on board will allow us to take on the “food drop-off” market (corporate lunches, large special occasion cakes and multiple menus and clients per day) which will increase our revenue stream hugely. This means that the company will have capabilities to handle up to two large events each day plus 500 + corporate lunches Monday to Friday. Projections in our business plan mainly reflect sales on a day-to-day basis with corporate clients and not on an annual contract foundation, however, that market will be available to us if we can acquire the commercial kitchen space and transport van. The finance from an investor will also go to starting salaries for key employees and management as well as sales, marketing and administrative costs.
All Around Personal Chef & Catering Group is committed fulfilling its goals and objectives of this expansion project and would like greatly like to bring on angel partner in this project and see the same vision and have the same goals for the company’s growth and be a part of a growing trend of utilizing organics, sustainable food sources and promoting environmental and community sustainability.
All Around Personal Chef & Catering Group has already had some successes and has suffered some shortfalls but this company is still standing and with the right investor will not only stand alone but will also stand and step over together with the right partner to reach the goals and share in the revenues for AAPCCG’s expansion and launch of its new company Corporate Chef Express. Obtaining an investment from a partner in this new expansion and business venture will allow the company to gain more exposure through increased infrastructure, financing of sales/marketing campaigns and unique styles of service and most importantly providing local sustainability in all aspects whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself. I can even envision a franchising opportunity for cities with major business and corporate interests possibly in the future of this initiative as well once we streamline and establish the CCE launch in Vancouver; but a separate business plan for that type of venture would need to be created at a later date if such a venture would ever be considered.
